Bilingual English-Tamil Scripture Study Now Open to Readers Worldwide

Bible Hunger has launched a web platform pairing the World English Bible with the 1871 Tamil Union Version side by side, giving students and general readers bilingual study tools, timelines, genealogies and reference material.

Bible Hunger Launches Bilingual Scripture Study Platform With English and Tamil Parallel Text

CHENNAI, India — October 18, 2026 — Readers who study Scripture across English and Tamil can now compare both texts side by side on a single web platform launched by Bible Hunger [https://biblehunger.com/], an independent digital Bible research and study platform.

The company said the platform pairs the World English Bible with the 1871 Tamil Union Version in a parallel reading format, giving students, researchers and general readers a bilingual study engine that displays the two translations together so passages can be compared directly.

Study material is organized into several categories, according to Bible Hunger. A situational scriptures section groups verses by subject, including anxiety, healing, strength, peace, birthdays, marriage and faith. A section on the life and ministry of Jesus catalogs the disciples, including their callings, missions and martyrdom accounts; parables such as the Sower, the Good Samaritan and the Prodigal Son; and miracles including the healing of the blind, walking on water and the raising of Lazarus.

Additional sections cover Old and New Testament narratives in chronological order, from Creation, Noah's Ark and Abraham through the Nativity, the Sermon on the Mount, and the Passion and Resurrection. The platform also includes studies of Messianic prophecies, the Ten Commandments and the 613 Mitzvot, and prayers of scripture including the Lord's Prayer, the Prayer of Jabez and Solomon's prayer.

Historical material includes chronicles of the Kings of Israel, the prophets, the Babylonian Exile, the Roman Empire era, and profiles of women of the Bible including Esther, Ruth, Mary Magdalene, Deborah and Hannah. The platform features interactive SVG genealogy trees mapping lineages including the Royal Line of David and the Twelve Tribes of Israel.

A searchable A-Z reference dictionary lists more than 1,400 biblical names with Hebrew and Greek etymologies, alongside canonical statistics, author breakdowns and related facts, the company said. The platform also offers quizzes with scripture-backed feedback and a daily verse tool.

"Studying Scripture should be engaging, intuitive, and visually illuminating," said Jeba Singh, founder of Bible Hunger. "By integrating structured web technology with theological depth, Bible Hunger empowers believers to explore timelines, genealogies, and deep teachings in both English and Tamil without academic or technical barriers."

Bible Hunger said its historical summaries and contextual articles are cross-checked against textual traditions for doctrinal accuracy. The company did not disclose the size of its content team, the number of registered users, or funding details.

The platform is available at biblehunger.com.
