Kidora grows from children’s resale marketplace into wider UK family platform
Self-funded UK platform Kidora now combines a parent-to-parent baby and children’s marketplace, practical parenting resources and more than 6,500 Family Places across the UK.

Kidora, a self-funded UK family platform founded by North Wales mum of two Karolina Gudes, has expanded beyond its original baby and children’s resale marketplace into a wider platform built around everyday family life.
The platform now brings together three connected areas: the Kidora Marketplace, Kidora Parent Hub and more than 6,500 Family Places across the UK.
Kidora originally launched in 2025 after Karolina experienced a problem familiar to many parents: children quickly outgrow clothes, toys, books, prams and equipment that may still have years of usable life left.
Rather than creating another general resale platform, Kidora has remained focused specifically on parents, babies and children.
The marketplace allows families across the UK to buy and sell new and preloved baby and children’s items, including clothes, toys, books, prams, pushchairs, nursery equipment, feeding items and accessories.
Sellers are not charged commission by Kidora.
Buyers can use local collection or nationwide delivery, make offers and create bundles containing several items from the same seller.
Eligible Buy Now purchases include Buyer Protection as part of the mandatory Kidora Fee, with no separate Buyer Protection charge.
As the marketplace developed, the team behind Kidora began looking at other things parents repeatedly search for.
That led to the creation of Kidora Parent Hub, which brings together practical UK parenting information covering areas including pregnancy, babies, toddlers, childcare, education, health, safety, family support, activities and money-saving advice.
Kidora Family Places was then developed to help parents discover somewhere to visit with their children.
It now contains more than 6,500 family-friendly locations across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, including parks, beaches, museums, castles, soft play centres, zoos, swimming pools, gardens and other attractions.
Karolina Gudes, founder of Kidora, said:
“Kidora started from something we were experiencing ourselves as parents.
“Children grow incredibly quickly, and families can end up with perfectly good things they no longer need while another family may be looking for exactly those items.
“But as we continued building Kidora, we realised buying and selling was only one part of family life.
“Parents are also constantly searching for useful information and places to take their children, so the platform gradually developed into Marketplace, Parent Hub and Family Places.”
Kidora is being built by a three-person team consisting of Karolina, her partner Martin Kvasnica and their friend John Prydderch.
The business has been completely self-funded, with approximately £7,000 invested so far and no external funding.
The team has continued developing Kidora around full-time jobs and family responsibilities.
The original WordPress marketplace has since been rebuilt into a wider web platform supported by native iOS and Android apps.
A recent app update introduced new onboarding for members, refreshed designs across key screens, smoother buying, selling and bundle flows, clearer checkout and delivery information and further performance improvements.
More than 1,000 baby and children’s items have now been listed through Kidora.
The platform has also received growing media attention, with coverage from regional publications and a national feature in The Sun on Sunday.
Despite expanding into a wider family platform, Kidora says its marketplace will remain focused on baby and children’s items rather than moving into general adult categories.
Karolina added:
“There are already enormous marketplaces where people can buy and sell almost anything.
“We want Kidora to stay focused on families and continue building something specifically around that stage of life.
“We are still a very small team and still have a long way to go, but we are determined to keep improving it.”
Kidora is available through its website and native iOS and Android apps, with English and Polish supported.
