Student Creator Economy Expands as Happiness Fits Launches Campus Ambassador Network in Ondo State
Happiness Fits opens applications for its Campus Ambassador Network in Akungba-Akoko, offering students hands-on experience in brand representation and marketing. The program taps into the growing creator economy and aims to build community engagement while developing young talent.

As Nigeria's youth population increasingly turns to digital content creation and brand partnerships, fashion retail startups are rethinking how they connect with young consumers. The rise of the creator economy has made campus communities fertile ground for grassroots marketing, and now a homegrown fashion enterprise in Ondo State is tapping into that potential.
Happiness Fits, a fashion retail startup based in Akungba-Akoko, announced today the opening of applications for its inaugural Campus Ambassador Network. The program is designed to give university students and young creators hands-on experience in brand representation, community marketing, and digital operations—skills that are increasingly valuable in today's job market.
The initiative comes at a time when many Nigerian students are seeking practical experience to complement their academic studies. With traditional internships often scarce, brand ambassador programs offer a flexible way to build a portfolio. By embedding student leaders within its operations, Happiness Fits aims to create a pipeline of talent while strengthening its presence in local campus communities.
Co-founded by Oluwabunmi and Ajayi Olumide, the Akungba-based startup is establishing the network to engage directly with student leaders rather than relying on conventional advertising. Selected ambassadors will work alongside the executive team to execute regional marketing campaigns and build community engagement across local campuses.
"The ambassador program is structured as an experiential learning initiative for young creators in Akungba," said Ajayi Olumide, Co-Managing Partner and Head of Ambassador Operations. "Our goal is to offer students practical exposure to project management, brand strategy, and public relations while representing an active retail enterprise."
The campus ambassador initiative includes several core components:
- Professional Development: Participants will gain direct experience in digital marketing, event execution, and community management.
- Brand Representation: Ambassadors will serve as the face of Happiness Fits across Akungba-Akoko and regional campus environments.
- Skill Acquisition: Workshops and hands-on projects will focus on creative leadership and retail strategy.
- Community Networking: Ambassadors will connect with local entrepreneurs and brand strategists, building valuable relationships.
Applications are open to university students residing in Akungba-Akoko. After a selection process, chosen candidates will undergo an orientation before launching campus-focused initiatives in the upcoming academic term.
Happiness Fits is a fashion retail enterprise specializing in streetwear apparel and lifestyle accessories. With this ambassador network, the company is positioning itself at the intersection of fashion, education, and community development—a model that could inspire similar initiatives across Nigeria's higher education landscape.
