Synoverge Technologies Modernizes Project Reporting for Leading Indian Energy Enterprise

AHMEDABAD, India – July 30, 2026 — Synoverge Technologies announced the implementation of a centralized project reporting and analytics solution for one of India's leading City Gas Distribution (CGD) companies. The Microsoft-based solution was introduced to replace manual reporting processes, improve project visibility, and provide timely access to project information across an expanding portfolio of projects.

The organization serves more than 1.85 million domestic PNG customers through over 750 operational CNG stations across 44 districts in six states and one Union Territory. As the number of projects increased, the existing reporting process required significant manual effort and provided limited visibility into project performance, making it more difficult for stakeholders to access current project information and monitor ongoing activities.

To address these challenges, Synoverge Technologies implemented a centralized reporting platform using Microsoft Project Web App (PWA), Microsoft Project Server, Power BI, and SharePoint 2016. The solution integrated Project Server through APIs for automated data collection and introduced interactive dashboards for project monitoring and reporting.

The implementation also included an on-premises enterprise data gateway for scheduled data refreshes, a background Windows service for project synchronization, and additional capabilities such as notifications, audit trails, enterprise search, and role-based access to support secure information management.

Following the implementation, manual summary reporting was eliminated, reducing the effort required to prepare weekly reports. Authorized users can access centralized dashboards to monitor project progress and review project and task-level information. The solution also strengthened project governance through role-based access and established a reporting framework capable of supporting a large portfolio of active projects.

The implementation reflects the continued adoption of integrated reporting platforms that combine project management and business intelligence technologies to improve operational visibility and reporting efficiency within large enterprises.

Additional information about the implementation is available in the complete case study published by Synoverge Technologies.
